Clothing is not bringing disaster to the environment.

As the distance of fashion increases, the pockets of some brands of pants have become heavier in millions of dollars. People are buying clothes without need.

Drop it once or twice or put it in the cupboard. With the average life expectancy of a garment decreasing, the world is becoming a fad of fashion. In 2017, 13 million tons of clothing waste is being shared.

Americans throw away 37 kg of clothing every year. 92 million clothing waste is being generated worldwide. This means that a truck full of clothing is traveling to the landfill every second. However, 12% of the world's garment production is fully processed. 10% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions from the fashion industry. Every year, 120 million tons of greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere from the textile industry. 20 percent of the world's water is wasted in this industry.

More than 60 percent of the clothes people bought 15 years ago are now bought. 2 tons of clothing is purchased per second in the UK. Every year 56 million tons of cloth is bought all over the world. In 2030, the amount will stand at 93 million tons, and by 2050 it will reach 160 million tons. The fabric with which the garment is made is a waste of a lot of natural energy, space and water. Cotton is the most widely used in the world.

It takes 20,000 liters of water to make as much cotton as it takes to make a cotton cloth shirt. Studies have shown that most of the waste is dumped in the ground or incinerated. New fabrics are made by recycling with only 1 percent of the fabric. Clothes are discarded at a cost of 10,000 per year. Germany is the only country that produces the least amount of waste in the fashion industry.

So we all need to be aware and make others aware not to use anything extra than necessary.
